- Record attendance in seconds and immediately see an updated summary of class attendance.
- Periodically delete attendance records retaining summaries of class attendance to conserve storage space.
- Scores & Grades
- Set weights for all of your categories (eg: homework, tests, etc.).
- Enter raw scores and view them immediately as percentages (75,90,100,etc.).
- Extra credit points entered in a separate column will be added to the final percentage score.
- Mark scores as zero and be able to display incomplete & late work upon request.
- View the incomplete work for the entire class or for a single student.
- Leave a score blank to have the grading process ignore a scored item.
- View lowest scores for each student. You may exclude those scores from the grading process.
- Recalculate the students grades at any time. Calculate grades in a moment when students ask "how am I doing?". This also allows you to project the students' average based upon how well s/he will do on an upcoming assignment (the ever-present question!). Enter projected scores, recalculate grades, inform the student, then remove the hypothetical scores.
- Grade alert will display a students name in a selected color (Crimson is the default) to tell you when a student drops below a certain grade average in any category, thus avoiding surprises at the end of the term.
- Grades are calculated for every student in each category, in each class, in each term and for the year.
- View grades for each student.
- View a chart of the entire class with students ordered by class grade.
- Student Notes
- Organize your notes and anecdotes about each student. Access them with a calendar from the very first note. They can be exported to your word processor and used to help in the writing of report card comments.
- Label notes as commendation, observation or needs improvement to provide a quantifier of the tone of your remarks regarding each student. View the sum of each category below the notes. (eg: 4 commendations, 2 observations, 3 needs improvement)
- Export scores, grades, notes to your word processing or spreadsheet programs for formatting & printing.
