Political Intolerance

People who are unscrupulous can take control of a group by focusing the group against another group. This is a tactic, a political manipulation. This is the strategy of using fear to gather people and make them submit so they can be used. They often assure the people that their god approves and is "on their side".

This strategy takes advantage of the fears of people who are unaware of the power of manipulation. This kind of tactic captures the imaginations of people who have not had opportunities to develop themselves and who suffer lives of hardship. They crave to ally themselves with those in power. The people who accept this will be willing to do anything. They will be thoroughly fooled. The goals of the leaders do not include the well-being of the people. Many people will be willing to die for the leaders when their fears have been manipulated this way.

The "leader" promises to protect them and guide them in a fight against the "others". These leaders usually keep promising future improvements to keep the people under their spell. As more people join the group, the leader becomes more and more 'special' and distinct from the rest of the population. In this way, the leaders gather many followers to do the work for them and to give them power. The leaders are usually the most visible figureheads of a top echelon of the group, a small group of elite people who are convinced of their own superiority in relation to the rest of their group and to the people of all other groups.
